Tiny Prints

I love this image. Every time I see it, I smile and giggle. "I've arrived." Classic and so true. It's all about the baby.

I'm sure you need absolutely no introduction to the above image. It's everywhere. In Marketing 101 this company received an A+. But just in case you fall into the 2% of the population who hasn't seen this image, let me introduce you. It belongs to the genius minds at Tiny Prints - a must when ordering announcements, invitations, thank yous, and labels.

Recently, I received some cards from Tiny Prints. They are every bit as classy, fun, original and dynamic as the website claims.

As I'm scrolling through their website trying to pick out some paper to highlight, I honestly can't decide which ones to show you! They are all adorable. I am completely serious. Have a look for yourself.
Baby Girl announcements (click view all and get that scroll finger ready)
Baby Boy announcements (same drill)
Baby Shower announcements (gender neutral, they also carry gender specific)
Birthday Party invitations (some of my favorites: the pirate, the cowboy, the slumber party, and the pink castle)
Tiny Prints also carries invitations for almost any kid-related occasion you can think of, many thank you notes as wells as gift tags and labels.
The company is growing so fast they just launched Wedding Paper Divas to keep up with the demands from brides-to-be.

I'll go out on a limb and say if you can't find anything at Tiny Prints that suits you and your occasion, you might have a problem.

Tiny Prints - you will be totally satisfied (please try to say that without your Valley Girl accent).

In a Baby Carriage

Are you looking for a creative Holiday card this year? Something your friends have never seen? Or are you not even thinking holiday cards yet? OK, I admit I wasn't. But it's time and I have a secret for you. I absolutely love the cards from In a Baby Carriage. The are fabulous to say the least.

And for that super-creative card - to set your card above all others? Right here, the personalized tri-fold card. This is not your run-of-the-mill tri-fold card. There are designs and layouts you will fall in love with.

The best part, the process is a piece-of-cake. Really, all you have to do is email photos to them and then approve the proof. Yes, there is a proof to make sure you are satisfied. The hard part - choosing one design. But hey, there's always next year!

Call Me

"...on the line. Call me, call me any anytime. Call me." Blondie's Call Me song. Who knew she was ahead of her time. With the Erin Condren call me cards, you won't have to embarrass yourself by singing the lyrics every time you want some one to call you. Instead, you can simply slip that someone your card. I'm sure there are still some of you that will feel the need to break out into the Blondie tune, but that's at your own risk. These cards are perfect for new people you meet at playdates or parties.

Erin Condren also carries many other trendy cards. Her designs are innovative and bright. I love these return address labels, perfect for the back of the envelope. She even designs wonderful holiday cards like these Valentines. But I think the cards I would use the most are the gift labels. How many times have I wrapped a gift and realized I forgot a card? Too many, especially for kids. When my kid goes to a birthday party, a card is about the last thing on my list. So, these labels are ideal for moi.

Shopping Fix Via Stationery

Today, I'm in no mood to drag the kids along to my favorite shopping stores. My boys were not born to shop. They are 6 and 4 and they like to run around, make faces in the mirrors, and hide in the clothes racks or under tables. Needless-to-say, I only bring them with me when desperate. However, I am in the mood to do something fun and different.

I found Design-her Gals and was blown away by how cool this site is. I am able to personalize my stationery. And by personalize, I mean truly personalize, not just by name. You get to pick out your own Gal to adorn your stationery. Here's where you can get your shopping fix - a little differently! Shopper beware - this could take as long as a normal shopping trip, depending on your decision-making capabilities.

To get you started, first click here to Design Your Gal.

Choose your gal type (don't worry you will be able to change many things about her) and you are on your way.

Next choose the eye color and shape.
Then move on to skin tone.
After that, pick out your hairstyle.
Then your hair color.
(Note: to the right, is your Gal as you complete her. And to the left is the "menu" explaining the sequence which you can click to change a specific part of your gal.)
Moving on to the shopping - you can pick an entire outfit or you can pick the top, then the pants, then the shoes and accessories (see categories to left). Now you know why this shopping "trip" is going to take some time! The accessories are a hoot and so fun. The clothes are unbelievable. There are more choices at Design-her Gals than at Barney's.

You can save up to 6 gals in your account. And you can send unlimited number of e-cards - fabulous concept.

Above is one of my finished and saved Design-her Gals. Now I just have to figure out what type of stationery to put her on. The choices, the choices...

If you are looking for gift ideas, this would make a super original for anyone - especially new moms.

Lunchtime Love

You've seen me refer to a networking group called Ladies Who Launch. Kristi Thomas is a member of the Ohio group and launched an endearing business, Lunchology. It started when she packed her daughter's lunch for school. She began adding little notes of encouragement, fun facts, and jokes to her daughter's brown bag lunch. Needless to say they were a hit at school. Everyone wanted them. Children learn little tidbits without knowing it, plus they receive a dose of home while away at school the whole day.

I love that this amazing business idea started from Kristi who only wanted to give her daughter a few smiles while she was at school... and now it is a nation-wide seller! And if you wanted to take the time and make yours more personal, you can easily make your own. However, if time is of the essence, you can buy the bags for only $4.99 (includes about 25). That's a bargain for giving your child a smile or a "hug" while away from you!

Block Party!

Invites for kids parties just got a whole lot more creative. Imagine receiving a box in the mail as the invitation! Every kid loves to get mail and when their mail is in the form of a package it's that much better. Egba Originals has created these solid maple blocks that can be designed any way you want. In fact, they aren't just used for parties. Go ahead challenge the creative minds at Egba Originals and ask them to create invitations for baby and bridal showers, birth announcements, weddings... you name it. Going off the 3-D theme they also make puzzles to use as invitations and announcements. Getting a puzzle in the mail and the suspense of putting it together in order to find out why in the world you were sent this puzzle... sounds fun to me!
