Pashmina Sale

When you find a deal this good, you have to tell everyone! The Pashmina Store slashed the prices of their 36" x 80", 3 ply pashminas. The original price is $239.99, but the sale price is $79.99. Anytime I can save $160, bring it on. It seems they still have many, many colors in stock. I love the color of the blue above and this Earth Red. Of course, black is always safe and useful. They also offer free standard shipping. Go crazy!

Perpetual Kid

"Entertain your inner child" is their tag line. We all have an inner child and when we let that child out, doesn't life always seem to be a little more fun? Unless of course you don't know how to control the child, then it just becomes... childish!

Perpetual Kid offers numerous gift ideas and plain old fun things to buy for yourself.

Here are a few ideas:

Do you have a friend or relative who smokes? Do you wish that person would get a clue that smoking does kill? Here's a useful gift for the smoker; it also doubles as a subtle way to let them know how you feel, and it keeps reminding them how you feel!

If you live in the "North," you know it's that time of year when you are getting tired of the cold and the snow. It's time for Spring, or more importantly it's just time for some swimsuit weather. If you feel this way, have some girlfriends over, have a few drinks, and use these fun coasters.

Are you feeling a little bored at work these days? Try some of these fun cube goodies.

For the sinner in your life.

For those of you who have an "ex" in your life you don't exactly care for (and you are truly wishing for bodily harm).

I know some of you have been in search of the perfect tampon case your whole entire life. Search no more.

Warning: only visit the site when you have some time to spend. You will find yourself looking at loads of things mainly out of curiosity!

Lil' Hair Accessories

I remember when I was a little girl with long hair. The most creative pigtail and ponytail holders on the market were elasticized bands with decorative marble-like balls (visual), and I think I even remember holders with little acrylic pigs, strawberries and phones (sorry couldn't find those visuals - I guess nobody wants to remember those)!

Times have changed, thank god! And Lil' Sugarplum is right there leading the way with more trendy styles for infants and toddlers. We tried out the dragonfly clip. First, it is absolutely adorable. Plus, it holds it's own. Through summer-saults and running, it stayed in the hair - which is key. How many times druing the day do you stop and have to re-do your girls' hair?

Just one note when you go through the website. Don't miss all their styles! They have many more on other pages, and the page 2 and page 3 links are displayed towards the top of each page. For example, check out:
Bliss (scroll down). A super cute, brightly colored flower clip
The butterfly bobby pins are precious
The Teddy Bear Ponytail holders

Any little girl would eat these up!

If you are a visual person, Lil' Sugarplum has created a gallery of pictures. You can see what these sweet little clips look like on some sweet little models.

The Wheel of...

What exactly is this a picture of? Is it an industrial fan? Is it a hamster wheel? Or is it the Rakku Shoe Wheel?

The innovative shoe storage system by Rakku (which means rack in Japenese), stores up to 30 shoes within adjustable pockets. See how nicely the rack system fits into a closet. It takes up minimal space - which is something we are always in search of. As you can see the storage is built on wheels so it is easy to slide in and out of the closet to remove your shoes. In fact, the only downside to this product seems to be that they are currently not sold in any stores in the United States. However, you can purchase the shoe wheel on their website, and they are planning to arrive in U.S. stores soon.

So, if you purchased one of these wheels, yours may not be as colorful because you don't own a pair of shoes in every color of the rainbow. But it makes a pretty picture, doesn't it?

PPB

You've heard of Petunia Pickle Bottom. But I'll bet you didn't know they now make crib and bassinet bedding. Their famously gorgeous fabrics are now available in two bedding styles. The Blossom Roll is a chocolate brown/champaign pink floral brocade and linen. And the Coco Roll is a chocolate brown/cerulean blue bird brocade and linen.

The bassinet bedding is made to fit the Cariboo(TM) Classic Bassinet which is a fresh yet simple new look on for bassinets. And with the Petunia Pickle Bottom bedding, it is also stunning!

While we are on the subject of Petunia Pickle Bottom (I think I just like saying the name), check out their touring totes, if you haven't already. I don't need a big 'ole diaper bag anymore and this bag is a wonderful size.

Does Every Party Tell a Story?

These do!

Once Upon a Box makes partying easier with their uber party kits. With everything from invitations, thank you notes, plates, forks, napkins, cups, candles, cookie cutter, sprinkles, photo album, keepsake box, and even a party tip sheet with ideas relating to the theme you choose. Speaking of the themes, they are adorable:

It's so refreshing to see fun, adorable themes beyond Star Wars and Dora. And think of all the possibilities you can do with these kits! The boxes are generously stocked. You shouldn't need more than 16 invitations, for example. I mean unless you want to give yourself a run for your money and be so exhausted with so many kids in your house that you didn't even get to enjoy the party. Sixteen is plenty!

Salam, the owner, is hoping to help you make your kid's birthday a fairytale event they are sure to remember... always.

See Jane Work

I think I've died and gone to heaven.

Call me crazy, but that little organizer-bug in me loves going to office supply stores. Enter, See Jane Work. This website fuses my love for organization with my desire for wanting to feel a little trendy.

If you look under their Life Organizer section, you will find things you never knew you needed... but you do!

How many times have you needed to jot down a note and you didn't have anything to write on? Now you can use their Note to Self notepads. The page you write on makes a carbon copy, so you can take one with you and leave the other at home or the office.

Even if you spent a year trying to find the perfect piece of luggage and making sure it didn't look like every one else's suitcase, these luggage tags are a must-have. They are clever.

Were you the prom queen 15 years ago and still won't let people forget it? If so, you might enjoy the I am so Popular phone book. Actually, I think that's a pretty funny title - prom queen or not!

Love wine and food? The Chronicles of a Socialite journals are perfect. Four different journals (sold separately) helps you keep memories alive from the Wine Lover's Journal, Dinner Party Journal, Recipes, and Restaurant Journal.

Do you ever walk into meeting (or play date) and whip off your Kate Spade sunglasses and hat while flashing your Kate Spade shoes? Then you plop down your Kate Spade planner, dig through your Kate Spade purse by pulling out your Kate Spade wallet and make-up bag, and ahhhh, there it is - your Kate Spade pencil case. You open your Kate Spade pencil case to find your newly sharpened Kate Spade pencils. You got it folks, she now makes pencils. So, if your friends or colleagues haven't caught on to your infatuation, I think the pencils will clue them in.

OK, so you don't love Ms. Spade that much, but you do love a good and snazzy writing utensil. Check out these pens. Very snazzy and fun indeed.

Labeling is key to organization. And See Jane Work sells many original labels.

Wanting to have a little fun with your co-workers? Use these Message Labels on envelopes... and always remember the key is in the fine print. For example, PLEASE OPEN whenever, not very URGENT, really un-IMPORTANT, and not a RUSH DELIVERY would be fun little teasers.

I think I could keep going like the energizer bunny, but I'll let you do some of the work and poke around the website. It's like being a kid in a candy store.

Get organized and feel chic! See Jane Work.

U-G-L-Y...

You ain't got no alibi... your doll's ugly. Just a little twist on the "cheer" people always used at high school sports. (I can't believe we got away with chanting that, how rude!)

I needed a good laugh today. So, when I was thinking about what to post I thought of these little guys, Uglydolls! Every time I see them, I giggle. Their website sheds some humor too. Each character links to information or shopping on their site. In the upper left corner, the blue Uglydoll links you to an area where you can learn the names and funny facts about each doll. You can also find downloads, news, press, and Ugly comics.

The Uglydolls run about $20.00. They have also released Little Uglys that cost a measly $10.00.

Global Warming 101

In my humble opinion, if you don't believe global warming is a factor that will affect you or the generations to come, you are living in a dream world... again, in my humble opinion.

It is already here. It may not have a direct devastating affect in your eyes at the present moment, but it will in only a few years.

I am not a Scientist, I only play one on T.V. OK, I don't even play one on T.V. but I do read. And quite honestly I am just learning. I thought, up until recently, the jury was still out on the issue of global warming and whether it was a real factor or not. The jury is in and... Houston, we have a problem.

To educate yourself, you might want to check out the Global Warming 101 website. Will Steger is a renowned explorer who has led many expeditions in the polar regions. He is from Minnesota (I just had to throw that in there), and he has decided to dedicate the rest of his life to informing others about global warming.

If you are like I was and you are not quite convinced that global warming is actually happening, start on the FAQ page. It is an excellent place to find the answers to these questions:

When you are ready for more, read the Letter of Concern written by Will Steger. And of course read up on Mr. Steger and his credentials. I'm sure you will agree he is truly a decorated expert in the area.

Isn't it time we all start doing something... anything? Even it is educating yourself, it's a start. A smart start.
