If so, I'm guessing someone we grew up with took that idea and ran with it, bringing it to modern times. The New Touch Game sold at Young Explorers is exactly that idea. For kids, it's actually harder than you might think.

This family game includes 49 detailed play pieces such as a turtle, football helmet, or hamburger along with 20 game cards. Within a designated time, you must place your hand into the dome and blindly feel for an object on your card. If you absolutely love the game, you can add up to four expansion packs and you won't get bored with the same old pieces.
